In 2013, the Neighbors of Westgate decided to sit down and gather up the unique history of our beloved neighborhood. This book is more than a collection of memories and photographs – it’s like sitting down in a comfy chair for a chat with an old friend. All of the submissions to this book–the historical research, memories, recipes and pictures– are from current or former Westgate residents. It’s all by us, right down to the editing, design and layout.
You will find information about Camp Chase, Westgate Park, and local businesses that are or once were. Memories that have been written down about gardens and pets, friends and loved ones. Recipes, ghost stories, and the Bean Dinner are all there for your enjoyment!
