Rock the Block
July 18, 2026
For the past three years WNA has participated in Play Music on the Porch Day — an international phenomenon that embraces the love of music, celebrates local neighborhood musicians and performers, and adores “free and open to all.”
Worldwide, this day is specifically held the last Saturday in August. But we are moving it up to July 18 this year — so therefore we had to come up with a new name! Rock the Block: Music | Art | Community. The day will generally be the same as in years past – but this year we’ll have additional involvement from the Hilltop Arts Collective – so stay-tuned for more on that exciting news.
Artists will select their own time to perform. There will likely be overlap. If you’re unhappy with the time you selected due to conflicts, please email Dana Fleeter, at danafleeter@gmail.com and we can change it.
Our “official” event hours will be between 10 a.m.–6 p.m. with music from noon to 6 p.m. We are planning a community get-together at 5 p.m. Some artists are choosing to play outside of these hours – and that is fine! We hope that you are excited to share your skills with all of us and we can’t wait to hear you perform!
As groups sign up, we’ll begin to populate a map on this page with all the details about who, when, and where. Stay tuned and check back periodically!
Special incentive!
If you sign up before July 1st AND if we get a volunteer t-shirt sponsor, we will put your group’s name on the concert-style shirt.
Hint hint!
If you are interested in being our t-shirt sponsor and proud to support music and art in our community, please let Dana know!
