Rock the Block 2026: Volunteers Needed!

Hello Neighbors!

Rock The Block is coming to Westgate on Saturday, July 18, and we’re looking for volunteers to help make this new community celebration a success!

A collaboration between the Westgate Neighbors Association and The Hilltop Arts Collective, Rock The Block brings together live porch music, local artists, and community engagement for a day that celebrates everything that makes Westgate special. Musicians will perform throughout the neighborhood from their porches (as many of you know as “Music On the Porch Day”, in the past), while artists display their work in Crescent Park (Binns Island).

We’re looking for volunteers to help throughout the day. There are several shift options available, so you can choose the role and time commitment that works best for your schedule.

Volunteer opportunities include:

• Event setup before the festival begins

• Assisting artists and musicians throughout the day

• Helping artists and vendors with questions or needs as they arise

• Event teardown and cleanup at the end of the day

Whether you can spare a few hours or stay for multiple shifts, your support helps create a successful event for our entire community. Events like Rock The Block are only possible because neighbors step up to help make them happen!
